Wedding flowers led by the season

   Elegantly undone, naturalistic and seasonal

At Stem + Stem, we don’t impose a style. We interpret the space.

Every wedding starts with a conversation — about the venue, the light, the season, and the feeling you want your guests to walk into. From there we design an environment rather than just arrangements. Layered, textural, immersive — and always led by the best of what’s growing at the time of year.

Dee has been designing wedding flowers for eight years, working across some of London’s most beautiful venues. Her background in fashion buying shapes the way she sources and composes — with an eye for proportion, texture and the kind of detail that photographs beautifully but feels even better in person.

The work balances natural movement with considered structure. Garden-led, but never accidental. Design-driven, but never formulaic.

Weddings that feel generous, atmospheric and deeply personal — not just a beautiful room, but the right one.

How it works

1. Initial conversation A relaxed call or meeting to talk through your day, your venue, and the feeling you’re after. No obligation — just a chance to get to know each other before anything is committed.

2. Design proposal We’ll send over an initial proposal with mood imagery, a suggested direction, and a clear quote. Whether you’re in early planning stages or further along, we’ll work with where you are.

3. Securing your date A £250 deposit and signed agreement hold your date. From there, we handle everything — including a venue visit to plan layout, light and placement properly.

4. Your wedding day Final details confirmed 30 days before, a check-in call two weeks out, and on the day itself we arrive early and stay until every last arrangement — right down to the spare buttonhole — is exactly right.

What we charge

Our weddings typically range from intimate ceremonies with personal flowers only, to full venue transformations with installation pieces and table design throughout.

As a guide, personal flowers — bridal bouquet, bridesmaids and buttonholes — start from around £400. Full wedding packages including ceremony and reception design typically start from £2,500.

Every wedding is quoted individually based on your venue, guest numbers, and the flowers in season on your date. We’re happy to work to a budget — just tell us what you’re working with and we’ll design around it.

Our work

Jayne & Chris

The Brief

Jayne wanted flowers that felt wild but elegant.  We focused on natural, British-grown ingredients with a loose, gathered shape: soft greens, trailing stems, and pale, romantic blooms that contrasted nicely with the the raw beauty of The Asylum.  Bouquets were full but unstructured, with moments of movement and lightness. The arrangements in the Jolly Gardners carried the same feel: thoughtful, undone, and colourful very much bringing the vibe to the beautifully

Emer & Tom

The Brief

A timeless palette of spring whites brought softness and structure to this industrial Shoreditch setting. All the romance was in the ruffles—snowdrops, ranunculus, Icelandic poppies, garden roses, sweet peas and ammi, layered with light grasses for texture and movement. Two olive trees framed the ceremony with wild, meadow-style arrangements at the base, creating a natural focal point beneath the studio’s arches. The overall feel was calm, elegant and just the right side of classic.

Olivia & Jeremy

The Brief

Olivia & Jeremy had a chic city wedding, we created a soft, cascading bouquet that felt natural yet luxurious. The flowers included white garden roses, blousy blush peonies, antique lilac roses, white sweet peas, and pale anemones — all layered with jasmine vines and delicate foliage for movement and depth.

The palette was romantic and tonal, blending ivory, blush, and dusky mauve. The final look was timeless with a modern edge — perfect for a stylish London celebration.

Rebecca & Ben

The Brief

For this vibrant early summer wedding, Rebecca & Ben wanted flowers that felt playful, natural and full of energy, with a design that brought the beauty of the outdoors inside. We created colourful, garden-inspired arrangements designed to look abundant and freshly gathered, using a mix of bold seasonal blooms and wildflowers to give a relaxed and joyful atmosphere.

The colour palette featured bright coral peonies, cheerful yellows, deep pinks, and pops of purple and blue, creating a striking contrast that felt both modern and romantic. The floral designs were rich in texture, with climbing foliage and meadow-like stems adding depth and movement.

Inside the venue, large statement floral installations transformed the space, softening the rustic architecture and creating a natural flow between the outdoor setting and the barn. The bridal bouquet mirrored this look with vibrant seasonal flowers arranged in an elegantly undone style, perfectly complementing the bride’s effortless and contemporary aesthetic.

Where we work

Our studio is based on Bow Lane in the City of London, a short walk from St Paul’s Cathedral — and some of our favourite weddings have been the most intimate ones, right on our doorstep.

We work across London and beyond, designing for venues of all scales — from small licensed spaces and private members clubs to country houses and urban rooftops. If you’re getting married in the City or nearby and want something personal and considered rather than off a production line, we’d love to hear from you.

We’re happy to travel. If your venue is outside London, get in touch and we’ll let you know if we can make it work.

Our flowers

We source with the same intention we design with — seasonally, carefully, and as close to home as possible.

There’s something quietly magical about wedding flowers that are tied to a specific place and moment in time. The sweet peas that only exist for six weeks in early summer. The dahlias that arrive just as September turns. The hellebores that belong entirely to winter. Your flowers will never be replicated at another wedding, in another season, in another year. They are yours.

Most of our flowers come from British growers we know and trust: The Real Flower CompanyFlourish Produce, Sitopia Farm in Greenwich, Beans & Blooms in Essex, Flowers by Clowance in Cornwall, Evolve Flowers in Norfolk, We Are Grow in Enfield, and Smith and Munson in Spalding — among many others depending on the time of year.

In warmer months we also cut from our own allotment, where we grow both flowers and the harder-to-find ingredients that make their way into the restaurant kitchen too.

We’re proud members of Flowers From The Farm and we never use floral foam.

Questions we get asked

How far in advance should I book? Most couples come to us six to eighteen months before their wedding date, though we do occasionally have availability for shorter lead times — especially for more intimate ceremonies. If you have a date in mind, it’s always worth getting in touch to check, even if you’re still in early planning stages. The initial conversation doesn’t commit you to anything.

Do you have a minimum spend? We don’t have a fixed minimum. Our weddings range from personal flowers only — bouquet, bridesmaids and buttonholes — through to full venue transformations with large-scale installation work. We’re happy to work to a budget. Just tell us what you’re working with and we’ll be honest about what’s achievable.

Can I request specific flowers? Absolutely — and we’ll always let you know whether your favourites will be in season on your date. Our initial design pack gives you a clear idea of the key flowers we’re planning to use, but we prefer to cut what’s at its absolute best on the day rather than commit rigidly to a single stem. What we do work with carefully are exclusions and inclusions — whether that’s avoiding certain flowers for allergies, or incorporating something with a personal or sentimental meaning. Just tell us and we’ll make it work.

Do you work without floral foam? Always. Every arrangement we create is foam-free. It’s not something we shout about constantly but it matters to us — and increasingly to the couples we work with.

How do I start? Just get in touch. A short message telling us your date, your venue if you have one, and a very rough sense of what you’re imagining is enough to get started. We’ll take it from there.
